This film really punched me in the gut. I love the way director Diana Cam Van Nguyen uses a combination of animation, pictures, and letters to create a nostalgic sense of memory. The visuals really emphasize the hole where her father should be. Heart wrenching, relatable, and artistically strong, Love, Dad is perhaps my favorite short animation I’ve seen so far. — Jillian Corsie, Programmer
