Adam has embarked on an interstellar exploration, while his partner’s life continues on Earth. With the time and space between them, the lovers struggle to stay in touch, until one day she discovered something that Adam has secretly left behind.
I was so incredibility moved by ADAM (WITH AN EYE). Filmmaker Derrick Duan packs more emotional punch in 5 minutes than many filmmakers can do with twenty. The film has a timeless quality and yet, the isolation-induced loneliness it explores is indicative of the moment we are living in. Two characters. Missing each other. Apart from each other because society needed them to be. It’s a beautiful film and I can’t share it with enough people.

Derrick Duan is an emerging animator currently studying at the Victorian College of the Arts in Australia. His passion for interdisciplinary practice brings a variety of styles and media to his projects. Derrick also frequently collaborates with musicians and filmmakers to expand his award-winning and ever-growing portfolio.
