Avalanche is a tragically hilarious film based on writer/actor Molly Coogan‘s personal experience with deep loss. Nearly 1 in 4 pregnancies end in miscarriage, but it’s something that is rarely discussed openly, much less seen on screen. Coogan manages to turn her grief into a comedic journey that is both laugh out loud funny and deeply moving. One of my favorite films of the year, this one is not to be missed. You’ll never look at cabbage the same way again.
