BULLDOZER

Directed by Andrew Leeds

Produced by Joanna Leeds, Andrew Leeds & Rhett Reese

United States | English | 27' | Comedy

Jo's life takes a dramatic turn when she discovers her boyfriend has been cheating on her with sex workers. In a desperate bid to regain his attention, Jo threatens suicide, but this backfires when she is involuntarily committed to a state psychiatric facility under a 5150 hold. Four months later, Jo is trying to move on and find a new relationship. However, her ongoing unexplained health issues complicate her search for love. When Jo meets Greg, a charming man whose mother is a renowned doctor, she sees a potential solution to both her romantic and medical dilemmas. Unfortunately, Greg's mother gives Jo a false diagnosis and takes no responsibility, leaving Jo with no other option but to retaliate. Greg’s mom uncovers what Jo has done and in a very awkward confrontation, Jo’s entire relationship with Greg blows up in front of her face.

Have you ever tripped over yourself? Again, and again, and again and AGAIN! Jo knows all too well what it’s like to bump, no BULLDOZE, into herself and others… repeatedly. From the moment Jo steps on screen you either are her or know someone like her. The unfolding of this pilot is ingenious, relatable and laugh-out-loud funny. You can’t help but root for this perfectly cast and well-contained comedy. Don’t sleep on this one!
