Never will a movie have you call your loved ones faster than Mildred 4 a Million, and it does it in the best ways. This film is brimming with heart, terrifically paced, and creative with its presentation of generational divides. The cast is led perfectly by Marla Gibbs as Mildred, and the script highlights how various trends often pale in comparison to attempts at genuine connection. What the filmmakers have captured here is an excellent showcase for the intergenerational connection that the internet can have, and how the people we love are truly never that far away. I think I’m gonna go call my grandmother now.
