The story of a hookup gone too far up.
You ever see one of those charts that shows the wavelengths the human eye can see in relation to all that exist? DISC makes me think of that graphic. I could sense the film was operating on levels I couldn't fully articulate, and the fact that I couldn't quite grasp all of it was part of what made it so exciting. I started watching it thinking it was body horror, but somewhere along the way the blood, cringe, and absurdity gave way to an unexpectedly tender portrait of two people trying to care for each other. Dare I say... touching?
