A Black family in rural Vermont attempts to live a life of solitude and cope with the ghosts living on their property.
Inheritance is a balancing act between two worlds, being highly visible and virtually unseen. A few themes are running through this film but none more powerful than ‘taking back your power’. Annalise Lockhart’s directorial debut has taken her childhood pastime and real world experiences and turned them into a quiet backwoods thriller. — Elle Shaw, Festival Director
