EPOCH WON THE 24TH WEBBY AWARD

Today, the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences hosted the Webby Awards’ Internet ceremony, hosted by Patton Oswalt, and announced the Webby Award winners. Some of the winners include Miley Cyrus, The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, Game of Thrones, and an experimental film Epoch, directed by Kevin McGloughlin, which won the Webby Award in the Art & Experimental video category.


Here's Kevin's statement

I'm delighted to share that the International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences selected my work 'Epoch' as winner of this years Webby Awards in the Art & Experimental category!

I'm so grateful for this!!! Also would like to thank anyone who voted for me in the peoples choice vote!

I think I came last in that part, 🙂 but your vote was greatly appreciated.Thank you so much! 🙏



The Webby Awards is an award for excellence on the Internet featuring 7 major media types including Websites, Video, Advertising, Media & PR, Social, Apps, Mobile, & Voice, Games, and Podcasts. The Awards is overseen by the International Academy of the Digital Arts & Sciences.

Kevin's Epoch is an official selection for Salute Your Shorts Film Festival 2019. In Kevin's statement to Epoch, he explained that "Epoch is a visual representation of our connection to the earth and its vulnerable glory. Our time here is esoteric, limited and intangible."
