POWER
Chris Foito
Eta, a seamstress in early senility, finds comfort in distractions and endless calls to her adult son Jake who’s, unfortunately, wrapped up in careerism. When Jake finally calls, Eta’s surprised to find her phone unplugged, but still ringing from behind a wall. She won’t let anything stop her. She rips the cord from the wall and follows the wires to a room she’s avoided for years.
One of my favorites of the fest. What production design!! What beautiful sets! What a way to make me call my mother! Well done! — Natasha Lewin (Programmer)
