MARVIN'S NEVER HAD COFFEE BEFORE
Directed by Andrew Carter
Produced by Kahlil Maskati, Andrew Carter
Marvin Wexler tries coffee for the first time and desperately wants to talk to someone about it. What follows is a funny exploration of loneliness and trying to fit in during a time when it's never been harder to connect.
The themes of isolation, the desire to connect, and being oneself are universal and timeless. Writer/ Director Andrew Carter has given us such a smart film that is well shot and executed with an effective use of Zoom. I love the way he tackles anxiety here. The simple one-liners are hilarious and the bathroom scene…
Anyone who has felt like they were *just* outside the zeitgeist will relate to this one!
