The directors spin this identity minefield into a hilarious, whip-smart short that embraces Mestiza consciousness: a straddling of worlds filled with ambiguities, incongruities and assumptions. It’s funny because it’s true, and it’s moving because it refuses to simplify the contradictions. Sometimes we may never be able to speak the right words and there’s both sadness and beauty in that attempt.
