Upon using a modern art museum as the setting for a role play game that goes hopelessly awry, a deaf couple desperate to rekindle their spark finds the reconnection they seek in their shared experience over an abstract sculpture.
Contours is a quietly powerful film that sneaks up on you emotionally. It centers two characters, with palpable chemistry, who bump into each other in an art museum. Like any compelling piece of art there are layers to this film – different shades that reveal themselves over time – constantly subverting your expectations as a viewer, and build to an incredibly moving ending that has made me cry every time I've watched it. People connecting over the shared experience of art – Could there be anything more Salute?
