Lili, a young mother, lives with her gambler husband in a remote part of Sichuan. Lonely and poor, she heads for the city in a bid to earn enough money to save her dying father.

A slow burn where little is said but much is felt. In an attempt to save her father Lili finds herself on a different journey than she set out upon. Exploring our dispensability and feelings of helplessness in the world, Lili Alone transcends these ideas. — Elle Shaw, Festival Director
