Jealous of the Sun’s stardom, the Moon journeys into space, searching for a planet that actually cares about him.

Y'all, I am so excited to share this film with you. I first watched it in my co-working space (sans headphones), and the hilarity of the lyrics in this animated comedy musical wooed co-workers into my room. The songs alone are comic gold, but add the bold, silly, and colorful 2D animated celestial characters, and the result is “outta this world”. I had to cancel pilates for the day because my abs were already spent from belly laughs. Rarely can a film land so many jokes while also having something to say. With a star studded cast, including Stephanie Hsu, SUCKS TO BE THE MOON does more than “land among the stars” - it dazzles. — Erin Brown Thomas, Artistic Director
